Margaret Valois

Margaret Valois is an experienced attorney and Title IX adviser.  She travels to colleges and universities across the country to advise clients in Title IX sexual misconduct cases and also participates in and contributes to Title IX conferences and organizations.

Born in Clifton Forge, Virginia, Margaret earned a B.A. from Mary Washington College and is one of a very few attorneys to have successfully completed the rigorous Law Reader Program of the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners.  Prior to becoming a lawyer in 2003, Margaret was an insurance underwriter for a Fortune 500 company, an officer manager for a tech startup in Northern Virginia and a legal administrator at a law firm in Alexandria.

Margaret's office is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, also known as the Hill City, located on the James River in the Piedmont region of Virginia at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  She practices law with her husband, Paul and enjoys art, music and cooking.  She has two sons, three dogs and two cats.
